Architecture in Arunachal Pradesh

Arunachal Pradesh spans subtropical foothills and high Himalayan valleys, so its architecture changes with altitude. In the west, Monpa communities build stone and timber houses with carved windows, and Tawang Monastery, founded in the seventeenth century, sits on a ridge above the town.
