UPTAC B.Arch Counselling 2026 (UP, AKTU)
Uttar Pradesh centralised B.Arch admission via uptac.admissions.nic.in. NATA priority, JEE Paper 2 secondary.
UPTAC, conducted by AKTU (Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University), runs the centralised B.Arch counselling for Uttar Pradesh. NATA score is given priority over JEE Paper 2 in merit calculation. UPCET (NTA) does NOT cover B.Arch. There is no tuition fee waiver under UPTAC for B.Arch (only for B.Tech, B.Pharm, MCA, MBA).

UPTAC typically opens registration in June after NATA Phase 1. Four main rounds plus sliding plus special plus spot.

Academic qualification
10+2 with Physics and Mathematics compulsory plus one more, 50% PCM aggregate (45% for reserved categories from UP).
Entrance accepted
NATA score is the primary entrance. JEE Main Paper 2 is accepted as secondary. Submit both for maximum coverage.
Domicile or UP qualifying exam
Either parent has UP domicile OR candidate has Class 12 qualifying examination from a UP-recognised institution.

NATA is given priority over JEE Paper 2
In UPTAC merit, NATA score is preferred. If both scores are submitted, NATA is used in merit calculation. Plan to take NATA seriously even if you have a strong JEE Paper 2.
No tuition fee waiver for B.Arch
UPTAC offers tuition fee waiver only for B.Tech, B.Pharm, MCA, and MBA, NOT B.Arch. Many candidates assume it covers B.Arch and miss out on planning.
UPCET does not cover B.Arch
UPCET, conducted by NTA, is for B.Tech and other engineering/pharmacy programs. For B.Arch use NATA or JEE Paper 2 directly.
IIT BHU and IIIT Allahabad do not offer B.Arch
IIT BHU is in JoSAA for B.Tech only. IIIT Allahabad does not offer B.Arch. There is no IIT or IIIT B.Arch route in UP through UPTAC.

MNNIT Allahabad B.Arch is via JoSAA, not UPTAC. UPTAC covers state and private colleges affiliated with AKTU.
