Where do I apply for JEE Main 2027 Paper 2?

Only online at jeemain.nta.nic.in. Paper 2A is for B.Arch and Paper 2B is for B.Planning. Forms sent any other way are not accepted.

What is the JEE Main 2027 application fee for B.Arch?

For one paper (2A or 2B) at a centre in India: General boys Rs 1,000, General girls Rs 800, Gen-EWS and OBC (NCL) boys Rs 900, girls Rs 800, and SC, ST, PwD and third gender Rs 500. For both 2A and 2B: General, Gen-EWS and OBC (NCL) boys Rs 2,000, girls Rs 1,600, and SC, ST, PwD and third gender Rs 1,000. Bank charges and GST are extra.

What photo size is needed for the JEE Main 2027 application?

A recent colour passport photo with a white background, face covering about 80% with ears visible and no mask, in JPG or JPEG between 10 kB and 200 kB. You also take a live photo with a webcam or your phone while filling the form.

What signature size is needed for JEE Main 2027?

A clearly legible signature in JPG or JPEG between 10 kB and 100 kB.

Which documents do I need before I start the JEE Main 2027 form?

Your own DigiLocker or MeriPehchaan login, a passport photo (JPG, 10 to 200 kB), signature (JPG, 10 to 100 kB), Class 10 certificate or marksheet as a PDF (50 to 300 kB), a webcam or phone for the live photo, category details if any, and a UDID card or disability certificate PDF if you are PwD.

What is new in the JEE Main 2027 registration?

You sign in through MeriPehchaan (DigiLocker, JanParichay or e-Pramaan). NTA asks you to do Re-KYC in DigiLocker first, to use your own login, and to make sure your name and date of birth match your Class 10 certificate.

Who is eligible for JEE Main 2027 Paper 2?

There is no age limit. Students who passed Class 12 in 2025 or 2026, or who are writing Class 12 in 2027, can apply. Those who passed Class 12 in 2024 or earlier cannot.

When is the JEE Main 2027 Session 1 exam?

NTA will hold Session 1 on 20, 21, 22, 23, 24 and 28 January 2027. Your exact date and shift for Paper 2 will be on your admit card, released on 13 January 2027. The exam city slip comes on 30 December 2026.

Can I correct mistakes in my JEE Main 2027 application?

Yes, in the correction window from 27 to 29 November 2026 (up to 11:50 PM). Only certain fields can be changed, so check your Confirmation Page carefully before then.

Should I apply for Paper 2A, Paper 2B, or both?

Apply for Paper 2A if you want B.Arch. Choose Paper 2B only if you also want B.Planning. Writing both takes 3 hours 30 minutes instead of 3 hours and costs more (Rs 2,000 instead of Rs 1,000 for a General boy).

What is the JEE Main 2027 Paper 2A (B.Arch) exam pattern?

Mathematics (20 MCQ and 5 numerical, 100 marks) and Aptitude Test (50 questions, 200 marks) on computer, plus a Drawing Test (2 questions, 100 marks) on an A4 sheet with pen and paper. Total 400 marks in 3 hours. MCQ and numerical answers get plus 4 or minus 1.

What do I need to bring for the JEE Main Drawing Test?

Your own geometry box, pencils, erasers and colour pencils or crayons. Water colours are not allowed.

Do I need to apply again for JEE Main 2027 Session 2?

You use the same Application Number but pay the fee for Session 2 separately when it opens. NTA's tentative schedule is 5 January to 3 February 2027, with the exam from 2 to 7 April 2027. Your better score of the two sessions counts.

How many exam cities can I choose for JEE Main 2027?

You can choose up to 4 cities in order of preference from NTA's list, usually in the state of your present or permanent address.

In which languages can I write JEE Main 2027?

In 13 languages: English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. Choose the same language in the exam that you chose in the form.

Who can apply for JEE Main 2027 Paper 2

There is no age limit.
You passed Class 12 (or equivalent) in 2025 or 2026, or you are writing Class 12 in 2027.
If you passed Class 12 in 2024 or earlier, you cannot write JEE Main 2027.

Exam centre outside India: Rs 2,500 to Rs 5,000 for one paper, Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000 for both, depending on category and gender.

Bank processing charges and GST are extra. Pay online by debit card, credit card, net banking or UPI. Applying in the late window adds Rs 500 for every category.

Update your DigiLocker KYC before you open the form, so the latest Aadhaar details are fetched.
Sign in with your own account
Log in with your own DigiLocker, JanParichay or e-Pramaan (MeriPehchaan) account. Not a parent's, a friend's or a browsing centre's.
Match your Class 10 certificate
Your name and date of birth must be exactly as printed on your Class 10 certificate or marksheet.

How to apply for JEE Main 2027 Paper 2: 4 steps

All online at jeemain.nta.nic.in. Keep a webcam or your phone ready for the live photo.

Register
Go to jeemain.nta.nic.in, sign in through MeriPehchaan, fill your basic details and create a password (8 to 13 characters). Write down the Application Number: it is the same for Session 1 and Session 2.
Fill the application form
Choose Paper 2A (B.Arch). Add Paper 2B (B.Planning) only if you want planning too. Pick 4 exam cities near you, fill your Class 10 and 12 details, take the live photo and upload your photo, signature and Class 10 PDF.
Pay the fee
Pay online by debit card, credit card, net banking or UPI. If the money is debited but no Confirmation Page appears, check with your bank before paying again.
Save the Confirmation Page
Download and print the Confirmation Page. Keep a copy in your phone and email. Neram students: upload it in Nexus so we can check it for mistakes.

Common mistakes that cost students

Most of these cannot be fixed after the correction window. Check each one before you pay.

Selecting Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech) instead of Paper 2A (B.Arch).
Using a parent's or browsing centre's DigiLocker account to sign in.
Name or date of birth that does not match the Class 10 certificate.
A selfie with a coloured background, or a photo where the ears are hidden.
Uploading a photo or signature outside the size limit, or a Class 10 scan that is not a PDF.
Filling a second application form. Only one is allowed; duplicates are treated as unfair means.
Paying twice because the page was slow. Check the payment status first.
Not saving the Confirmation Page after payment.

Paper 2A vs 2B: exam pattern

Mathematics and Aptitude are common. B.Arch adds a Drawing Test on paper; B.Planning adds planning questions on the computer.
